There's no denying that all of us at Goss Dodge Chrysler love the Chrysler 200 in every form it's taken. The newest incarnation is supposedly going to be showing itself at the Detroit Auto Show in January of 2014, but many lucky reviewers have gotten a chance to take a peek at it early. Recently, the automaker invited a small group of dealers to have their chance to check it out, so let's take a look at what they had to say.

The new 200 is said to be a complete redesign from every aspect, but several competitors' cars have been an influence on the direction of the design, admitted by brand chief Saad Chehab. "We react to things we see no matter where they are and the [Ford] Fusion is one of the stops we made. Our challenge was that if any of us walk into a room and look at the car, is my jaw going to drop?"1 So far, it seems that jaws are indeed dropping.

David Kelleher, a Chrysler dealer, gave his high opinion to The Detroit News after the viewing. "The new 200 is a complete home run. It's got that strength of a very, very expensive European sedan like a Mercedes, but it's definitively American."1 He went on to say that, while he is invested in competing with the local rivals using his Chrysler products - starting back in 1992 - not many brands have done much to compete in the mid-sized sedan segment for as long as he's been in the business.

Could be a great opportunity for Chrysler to really push the 200! We'll just have to wait and see, though. If you're interested in getting in the cockpit of a new Chrysler all your own, give us a visit here at our South Burlington, VT dealership. We'd love to show you around and we're sure you'll find something to love today.
