The RAM 1500, 4500, and 5500 are incredible trucks, all with their own uses and strengths. Truly, there are few feelings like getting behind the wheel of a RAM truck, looking down on the smaller vehicle around you, and hearing that engine roar. However, sometimes things can go wrong, things previously unnoticed, and those are times when recalls are issued. Right now is one of those times so, if you own any of these three models, keep reading as we here at Goss Dodge Chrysler in South Burlington, VT give you all the details.

There are approximately 45,961 RAM 1500 pickup trucks in North America that are suffering from a glitch in the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system. The ESC is what keeps your truck stable on rough and bumpy roads, so you can keep on your path and not swerve from side to side. The problem is that sometimes the ESC does not start up with the vehicle, causing a severe decrease in directional control and an increase in the potential for an accident.

As for the 4500 and 5500 trucks, the problem exists as a faulty bolt in roughly 1,058 models. The bolt attaches the track bar to the frame and, should it malfunction, it will cause the vehicle to pull to one side. The will cause problems with your control over the vehicle as well as increase potential for a crash.
