If you're looking for a family-friendly sedan with a great sporty look, the 2015 Dodge Charger might be just the car for you. The 2015 model was inspired by the 1969 Charger and joins the lineup as part of Dodge's centennial year. The 2015 Charger is both sporty and sleek and has gone through a major makeover from its previous models while still retaining its classic image. Designed to be more visually appealing and even more aerodynamic, the smaller model is less masculine than previous models making it more attractive to a wider range of car buyers.
The 2015 Dodge Charger is first and foremost a muscle car, so it's only expected that it would come with great power options. The Charger can be equipped with one of four engine options including a V6 engine with All Wheel Drive, a V6 engine with Rear Wheel Drive, a HEMI V8 engine, and the new Hellcat engine.
The V6 engine, offered in both All Wheel Drive and Rear Wheel Drive is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and produces about 292 horsepower. The AWD model gets an EPA estimated 19/27 mpg city/highway while the RWD model gets slightly less at 19/27 mpg city/highway. The 5.7L HEMI V8 engine produces 370 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine gets an EPA-estimated 16/25 mpg city/highway-making it very competitive in the class. The Hellcat model is equipped with a Supercharged 6.2L V8 engine which is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This beastly engine produces over 700 horsepower.
The interior of the Charger features some of the same great touches you've come to expect from the muscle sedan including paddle shifters on the three-spoke steering wheel, a 5 inch touch screen infotainment system, and soft touch materials on the dash. The already very comfortable seats have been redesigned to be even more comfortable with spring suspensions in the seat, and light-density and dual intensity foam. Choose from black and ruby leather, black and pearl leather, and black and tungsten cloth as your interior trim.
Along with being agile, an absolute joy to drive, and including all of the comfort and convenience features you want in your muscle car, the 2015 Dodge Charger also has the safety features you're looking for to keep your whole family safe including adaptive cruise control with emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assist, in addition to the over 80 available safety and security features.
